Abuse Policy

Purpose
This Abuse Policy outlines the types of behavior and usage that are considered abusive, harmful, or in violation of the values and functionality of BoldTek CRM. It exists to:
Protect the integrity and performance of our systems
Safeguard personal data and privacy
Promote a respectful, lawful, and trustworthy CRM environment
This policy is applicable to all users, including CRM administrators, team members, clients, and external integrations via APIs.
Prohibited Activities
System Abuse
Initiating denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
Exploiting software vulnerabilities or attempting to test system weaknesses (without authorization)
Uploading malicious code, viruses, or backdoors
Circumventing authentication or security protocols
Unauthorized Access & Account Misuse
Accessing, or attempting to access, data or user accounts without proper permission
Sharing login credentials or API tokens with unauthorized users or systems
Using the CRM to impersonate another user or organization
Data Privacy Violations
Collecting or processing personal data (e.g., contact information, behavioral data) without lawful basis or consent
Failing to honor data subject rights under GDPR or other relevant regulations
Using BoldTek CRM for illegal surveillance or unauthorized data mining
Spam, Phishing & Unsolicited Communication
Sending marketing or promotional content to individuals without verified consent (opt-in)
Mass-emailing contact lists obtained via scraping, third-party vendors, or purchased databases
Using the CRM’s automation tools to spam or deceive recipients
Redirecting users to phishing websites or installing malware
Fraudulent, Deceptive, and Illegal Use
Falsifying sender identities or business credentials to deceive recipients
Fabricating customer or contact data for fraudulent campaigns or quota inflation
Using CRM workflows for unlawful transactions, scams, or pyramid schemes
Harassment, Threats & Offensive Content
Using CRM communication tools to harass, stalk, or threaten individuals or businesses
Hosting or transmitting materials that are racist, sexist, defamatory, hateful, or discriminatory
Creating offensive tags, notes, or descriptions inside CRM contact records or tasks
Intellectual Property Infringement
Uploading or distributing content you do not have the rights to
Using the CRM to disseminate copyrighted content without authorization
API Misuse
Abusing public/private API endpoints for scraping, data exfiltration, or unauthorized integration
Overloading APIs beyond rate limits or intentionally bypassing throttling mechanisms
Enforcement & Remedial Actions
Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions:

Low (First Offense) | Written warning, user education, feature usage review |
Moderate | Temporary suspension of account/feature, access revocation |
High | Permanent account termination, legal notification, data deletion, blacklist registration |
In cases of criminal behavior, abuse may be reported to law enforcement or regulatory bodies.
Reporting Abuse
If you suspect abuse of BoldTek CRM (internal or external), report it immediately:

Required Information:
CRM User ID or Account Name involved
Description of the abuse (with evidence such as screenshots, URLs, logs)
Time and date of occurrence
Your contact information (for investigation follow-up)
Reports will be handled confidentially, and you will receive a confirmation and resolution status from our Abuse & Compliance team.
User Responsibilities
By using BoldTek CRM, all users agree to:
Adhere to this Abuse Policy and our Terms of Service
Use CRM data and tools only for lawful and authorized business purposes
Respect user consent preferences and data protection laws
Keep login credentials secure and unique to individual users
Immediately report suspected security or compliance violations

BoldTek CRM is designed to comply with global data protection and communication laws, including:

It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that all CRM usage and campaigns align with applicable regulations in their jurisdiction.
Updates to This Policy
This Abuse Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in regulation, threats, or functionality. All updates will be posted on our website and/or directly within the CRM Website. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the latest version.
